Activity Dice
What is it?
A six-sided activity dice designed to encourage family interaction and create memorable moments around the table.
Why did we choose it?
At Ethnic City, we believe celebrations are about more than food—they're about spending quality time together. The Activity Dice helps everyone join in.
How can I use it?
Simply roll the Activity Dice and enjoy whichever activity appears.
Activities include:
- Say a Prayer - Take a moment to say a prayer. You can pray for a loved one, give thanks for your blessings, remember someone who is no longer with you, or pray for anything that is on your heart.
- Start a Singalong - Get everyone involved by starting a song. It could be a birthday song, a Christmas carol, a worship song, your national anthem, or simply everyone's favourite tune.
- Make a Toast - Raise a glass and make a toast to family, friendship, love, good health, new beginnings, or any special occasion worth celebrating.
- Give a Compliment - Brighten someone's day by giving them a genuine compliment. Thank the chef for a delicious meal, compliment someone's outfit, recognise an achievement, or simply tell someone how much they mean to you.
- Share a Memory - Share a memory with the group. It could be funny, heartwarming, inspiring, nostalgic or even a lesson learned through a difficult experience. Choose a memory that feels right for the moment.
- You Decide - This is your wildcard! Before you begin, everyone can agree on what this side of the dice will mean. Perhaps tell a joke, dance for 30 seconds, answer a fun question, share an interesting fact, or invent your own challenge. It's your celebration—make it your own.
There are no winners or losers—just opportunities to connect, celebrate and make memories together.
💡 TIP
For an even more meaningful experience, try playing the game before dinner. As each person rolls the dice, they'll know what their activity will be and can spend the meal thinking about what they'd like to say or do.
Whether it's choosing a special memory to share, preparing a heartfelt toast, or thinking about who they'd like to pray for or compliment, this little bit of preparation can lead to richer conversations and more memorable moments after dinner.
